Welcome to the City Wise and DIS Voc Ed (Designated Instruction Services) website.  We are a community-based program operated by the Stanislaus County Office of Education designed to promote transition to adult living for post high school special needs students utilizing a combined life skills and vocationally based curriculum.  Our students typically work at community jobs part of the day and learn life skills lessons through a classroom and community activities approach.  We are based at McHenry Village in Modesto where we have a fully equipped “classroom” complete with kitchen and laundry.  McHenry Village affords close proximity to shopping, banking and other community services upon which lessons are based.  Students spend additional time in the community doing fun activities on Fridays.  We invite you to explore our website.
