Civic Mission of Education

Overall California has one of the lowest rates of voters participating in elections.  The age group with the largest number of voters is 60 and above while the 18-24 year-olds have the least participation.

On Friday, February 29, 2008 the Civic Education Collaborative will host the 4th Annual Civic Mission of Education Youth Summit, "No Vote...No Voice," at the Stanislaus County Office of Education from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This year's Goal is - To Promote Political Action and Awareness in Youth

  • Provide non-partisan information on candidates and issues for 2008 elections as well as promote the importance of registering to vote
  • Follow-up in October 2008 (via email or USPS) with attendees of event
