County Office of Education Substitute Placement Service. A substitute
teacher plays a very important role in the education system, and your
service is invaluable to us.
This position is on call and the rate of pay ranges from $75.00 to $100.00
per day depending on the District. We are contracted by 18 different
school districts throughout Stanislaus County:

EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES
FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING
The following information is required in order to be approved and entered
on the Automated SubFinder System:
Copy of Credential or 30 day emergency permit
Current Intradermal (PPD) TUBERCULOSIS SKIN TEST results. DATED WITHIN 60
DAYS, unless currently employed by another School district
Two (2) letters of reference, these must be signed and dated WITHIN 1
YEAR, by the person referring you.
Two (2) valid forms of IDENTIFICATION
All forms in hire packet filled out.
SUBMISSION OF SUBSTITUTE PACKET
To submit the items listed above, you MUST call to schedule an
appointment.
Appointments are scheduled in groups and there is limited seating so you
must call to find out availability of future appointments.
The reason that this in done in groups is to review all your paperwork to
make sure that it is completed correctly and everything is signed where
required and items listed above are correct. .

many different options available to you .
Tb skin test:
No person shall
be initially employed unless the person has submitted to an
examination within the past 60 days to determine that he is free
of active tuberculosis, by a licensed physician

You will be required to return
to the Health Department in 48 hours to have your skin test read
and you will receive your clearance at that time. If positive,
it shall be followed by an X-ray of the lungs. Thereafter, as
recommended you will be required to provide clearance every 4
years. |
Identification
There are several
types of documents that are acceptable for the
I-9 form.
You are only required to provide 1 document that Establishes
BOTH identity and Employment Eligibility, the most commonly used
ones are:
1. US Passport
2. Certificate of US Citizenship
You are required to provide 2
documents that establish identity and employment separately, the
most commonly used of these:
1. Drivers license
2. Identification Card
3. US Social Security card (Issued by the Social Security
Administration)
4. Birth Certificate (original or certified copy bearing an
official seal
