Categorical Network*

The Department of School and District Support provides regular meetings and email list support to the county’s directors of state and federal programs.  Because districts are required to file a Consolidated Application to request categorical funds to implement multiple state and federal education programs, directors of state and federal programs frequently have questions in areas such as compliance monitoring or effective instructional practices associated with these programs.  The Categorical Network acts to provide these administrators with a forum to regularly meet with colleagues, to ask questions, and to receive updated information on changes in state and federal program requirements.
