Foothill
Horizons outdoor
school. These
volunteer high
school and
college students
bring a dynamic
energy and
enthusiasm to
our program
along with a
maturity and
level of
responsibility
that ensures a
safe and
positive
learning
environment for
the students.
It is both a
challenging and
rewarding
experience.
Before deciding
whether you want
to be a
counselor at
Foothill
Horizons, ask
yourself these
questions:
Do enjoy working
with children
one-on-one and
in groups?
Do you want to
improve your
leadership
skills?
Do you enjoy the
outdoors and
natural science?
When you came to
outdoor school
as a 6th grader,
did you want to
come back as a
counselor?
If you answered
yes to any of
these questions,
you may have
what it takes to
be an ideal
counselor!
