Mission Statement
The
mission of the Child/Family Services Division is to
provide a comprehensive quality family support service
system that includes a collaborative effort with other
community resources agencies in the endeavor to
enhance the quality of life for the clients served.
Guiding
Principles and Goals
Provide
a comprehensive family support service
· To
recruit, hire and support knowledgeable, experienced
staff that reflect the linguistic and cultural
background of the children and families served.
· To
ensure that program activities and services are age
appropriate and meet the development needs of each
child.
· To
ensure that program activities and services meet the
cultural, linguistic and special needs of children and
families served.
· To
utilize comprehensive internal and external
communication systems.
· To
meet the identified training needs of staff on an
ongoing basis.
· To
provide families with available resources that meet
their specific, identified needs.
· To
provide all current and potential child care providers
with resources and assistance as resources allow and
as needs are identified.
Establish
collaborative efforts with community partners

To
forge and strengthen partnerships with businesses,
organizations and agencies to ensure responsiveness to
families’ needs.
· To
ensure that staff promote the need to support early
childhood programs in the community.
· To
facilitate and encourage family involvement in the
community.
· To
encourage community awareness of the need for and the
availability of child care services.
Enhance
the quality of life for the clients served
· To
administer all programs in an efficient, effective and
timely manner so that high quality services are
delivered to children and families.
· To
seek new program opportunities that enhance our
services to children and families.
· To
assist parents to become active partners in all
aspects of their children’s development.
· To
develop and maintain high-quality family child care
homes.
· To
support sound program implementation through effective
management practices/procedures in order to maintain
fiscal integrity and compliance with program
regulations.
· To
provide a physical environment that is safe and
appropriate to the ages of children.
· To
determine the relevancy and accountability of new and
existing services.
· To
maximize the use of technology for our internal and
external clients.
· To
continually maintain resources that identify services
and resources available in our service area to assist
families.
· To
identify and maintain a resource of community services
that are available to assist families.
