2017 Every Student Succeeding
Event Date: March 7, 2017
The Every Student Succeeding program honors students in grades K - 12 who have overcome serious challenges, succeeded beyond expectations or just won the hearts of their school staff.
Coordinated by SCOE and the local Association of California School Administrators, this is the tenth year of the program. One student will be selected to represent Stanislaus County at the region level ($1,000 scholarship) with the possibility in advancing to the state competition.
Districts will select their own honorees and forward nomination based on the following ADA formula:
0 – 4999 students = 1 nominee
5,000 - 9,999 students = 2 nominees
10,000 – 20,000 students = 3 nominees
20,000+ students = 4 nominees
To nominate a student complete the following application:
The process is simple:
Respond to the following essay questions, using no more than one page for each question.
Essay Question #1: Why did you select this student? (Tell us the success story in such a way that we get to know the individual and the team that supported him/her.
- What barrier(s)/challenge(s) did the student overcome?
Essay Question #2: Describe how an ACSA member has contributed to this student's success, and the practices or programs the entire supporting team utilized which contributed to the student's success.
