About the SCOE Fitness Challenge

For four weeks, beginning February 6 - March 5, 2017 SCOE will conduct a "Fitness Challenge" using a shared point chart, rules & information and FAQ sheet.  SCOE is celebrating the 12th year of the Fitness Challenge and we hope you will participate on a team in 2017.

What to look for this year:

  1. Updated Point Chart

  2. Special Events to earn additional points - review Events page

  3. Three team categories based on points
    - Elite (151+ points per week)
    - Intermediate (100-150 points per week)
    - Novice (1-99 points per week)

  4. 1st and 2nd place medals in each of the above categories

  5. Teams formed per level of participation can be by SCOE division, department, school or points participants will compete at during the challenge.

Here's a quick rundown of how the challenge works.

  • Participants form teams

  • Each team has a minimum of five people - there is no maximum
    Each team selects a team captain and a team name

  • At the end of each week's time frame team members turn in their points to the team captain - team captains post the team point averages each Monday by 5:00 p.m. - questions??? call 238-1709 or email Judy Leitz at jleitz@stancoe.org

    For four weeks, team members will keep a record of points earned based on a Fitness Point Chart (see links listed left). Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 teams in each division at the March 8 Board Meeting.

    Look over the point chart to see just how fun and easy this activity can be. If your department/school is interested in participating, please contact Judy Leitz by January 24 to let her know who will represent the team at the Team Captain's Meeting on January 26 at 3:30 p.m. in the Knights Ferry Room OR RSVP HERE.
