The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and Modesto Toyota are pleased to announce that Ekjot Johal from Pitman High School is the winner of the 2024 Toyota Corolla.  On May 17, 2024, Modesto Toyota drove the new car to Pitman High School and SCOE’s Chief of Staff Jason Maggard announced the winning name during a student body assembly.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) is pleased to announce the names of 50 high school student finalists eligible to win a 2024 Toyota Corolla through the Every Day Counts Attendance Matters campaign. The student finalists will be recognized for their school attendance during a recognition event held at Modesto Toyota on May 14, 2024.

The 2024 Stanislaus County Teachers of the Year are Raman Kang from La Rosa Elementary School in the Ceres Unified School District – TK-3rd level; Nancy Barajas from Fairview Elementary School in the Modesto City Schools District – 4-6th level; Aaron Salazar from Ustach Middle School in the Sylvan Union School District – junior high level; and Dave Zylstra from Hughson High School in the Hughson Unified School District – high school level.

The Modesto Rotary Club and the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) will honor the 12 Stanislaus County Teacher of the Year Finalists and announce the selection of four as 2024 Stanislaus County Teachers of the Year at a Rotary luncheon on May 7.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education’s (SCOE) Communications Department staff received five awards from the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) at the Annual Conference in Sacramento on March 1.

The Regional Science Olympiad was held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Modesto Junior College West Campus. Check out the division team winners and individual competition winners.

Budding young scientists from throughout the region are gearing up to participate in the 39th Annual Stanislaus County Regional Science Olympiad on March 9, 2024, at Modesto Junior College (West Campus Science Center).

The 2024 Stanislaus County Academic Decathlon Super Quiz and Awards Presentation was held in person on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:15-5:00 p.m. at Johansen High School gymnasium (641 Norseman Drive, Modesto).  Following are the results of the event.

Community members are invited to attend the Stanislaus County Music Festival on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Modesto Junior College Auditorium with performances by the honor choir, honor orchestra, and honor band. There is no charge for admission.
