Gregori High School wins the 2025 Stanislaus County Mock Trials Competition!
Results from the 2025 Stanislaus County Academic Decathlon held on Saturday, January 25, are:
- 1st Place: Oakdale High
- 2nd Place: Hughson High
- 3rd Place Team: Modesto High
- Super Quiz Winners: Oakdale High
On January 22, nine honorees were selected to represent Stanislaus County in the California Department of Education’s statewide recognition program.
Community members are invited to attend the Stanislaus County Music Festival on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Modesto Junior College Auditorium.

Twenty-eight exceptional classified staff will be honored at an award ceremony on Wednesday, January 22 at 4:00 p.m. Called “Employees Making a Difference,” school districts throughout the county selected their honorees and forwarded nominations to SCOE.

Leadership Academy held the “Non-Profit and Community Day” on Friday, October 4. Students started the day at the Red Shield Youth Community Center and the Salvation Army Food Warehouse/Distribution Center.
This year’s theme is PHAST Track to a Better Future: Invest in Your Best Path. The focus will be on helping students explore positive life choices, emphasizing the importance of health and good friendships. PHAST clubs encourage these values, and this event will provide tools to help students guide their peers toward a healthy future.
SCOE's Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program is hosting the 15th Annual PHASTjv (Protecting Health and Slamming Tobacco Junior Varsity) Youth council Boot Tobacco Camp Training on September 17.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and Modesto Toyota are pleased to announce that Ekjot Johal from Pitman High School is the winner of the 2024 Toyota Corolla. On May 17, 2024, Modesto Toyota drove the new car to Pitman High School and SCOE’s Chief of Staff Jason Maggard announced the winning name during a student body assembly.
The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) is pleased to announce the names of 50 high school student finalists eligible to win a 2024 Toyota Corolla through the Every Day Counts Attendance Matters campaign. The student finalists will be recognized for their school attendance during a recognition event held at Modesto Toyota on May 14, 2024.
The 2024 Stanislaus County Teachers of the Year are Raman Kang from La Rosa Elementary School in the Ceres Unified School District – TK-3rd level; Nancy Barajas from Fairview Elementary School in the Modesto City Schools District – 4-6th level; Aaron Salazar from Ustach Middle School in the Sylvan Union School District – junior high level; and Dave Zylstra from Hughson High School in the Hughson Unified School District – high school level.
