Stanislaus County Office of Education
Jonathan Webb Selected as Director of CBK Adult Charter School

Jonathan Webb has been selected as the Director of Stanislaus County Office of Education’s (SCOE) CBK Adult Charter School.  Webb brings over 20 years of experience in education to his position.  He has served as a teacher, vice-principal, and principal at sites in Sylvan Union, Oakdale Joint Unified, and Modesto City Schools districts.

Operated by SCOE, CBK Adult Charter School offers a no-cost independent study program for adults aged 18 and older to earn a high school diploma.  The program is rigorous, flexible, and customized to individual areas of need.  While enrolled, students also receive college and career readiness services and have access to childcare and mental health resources.  CBK has locations across Stanislaus County.

“I am honored to work alongside exceptional leaders and professionals who intentionally exhaust themselves daily to create opportunities for our students and county schools,” said Webb.  “It is a blessing to be part of a team so deeply committed to equity, access, and excellence in education.”

Former CBK principal Marcelo Briones is stepping into the role of Principal and Program Director for Teel School, Stanislaus Culinary Arts Institute, and Prevention Programs, also operated by SCOE.  Teel School offers high school education in a military-style environment, while Stanislaus Culinary Arts Institute offers Career Technical Education courses in culinary arts and agricultural greenhouse technology.  The Prevention Programs department provides information and resources to support youth in making healthy lifestyle choices.
