The Stanislaus County Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board from Trustee Area 3. The Board plans to make a provisional appointment on May 21. The person selected will be appointed to serve until the next regular California General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The candidate elected in the November election will then serve a full term of four years.

The trustee area boundary map and eligibility criteria are provided in the Public Notice. Interested candidates can verify residency in Trustee Area 3 by contacting the Stanislaus County Elections Office at 209-525-5200. Printed applications are available at the Stanislaus County Office of Education – Office of the Superintendent, 1100 H Street, Modesto, or can be requested from SCOE by emailing vescobar@stancoe.org. Completed applications are due back to the Stanislaus County Office by noon on Monday, May 13. The Board plans to review the applications, interview eligible candidates, and make the provisional appointment at a Special Board meeting on May 21 at 9:30 a.m., held at the Stanislaus County Office of Education.
