Community Invited to Tour the Career Inspiration Center on August 2, 2022

The Stanislaus County Office of Education is hosting a Community Day and Open House on August 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Career Inspiration Center located at 5255 1st Street, Empire. This free event will introduce parents, teachers, and community members to the innovative programs available to students throughout the year.

SCOE launched the career education program geared for 7th-12th grade students on August 31, 2021. The Career Inspiration Center provides four career pathways:

  1. Agriculture
  2. Health
  3. Manufacturing
  4. Technology

According to Superintendent Scott Kuykendall, “The Career Inspiration Center is an exciting and innovative program for students to see first-hand what local career options are available and also access to post-secondary opportunities,” said Kuykendall.

Currently, school districts sign up to participate in the program, sending students with a teacher to the career pathway sessions throughout the year.
