Promising Young Scientists to Compete at 21st Annual Elementary Science Olympiad
Approximately 400 elementary school children from throughout the region are gearing up for the 21st Annual Elementary Science Olympiad - slated for Saturday, April 21st from
8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Walnut School, 4219 N. Walnut Road in Turlock. Admission is free.
Sponsored by the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County, many of the events are open to the public beginning at 8:30 a.m. This year, spectator events include: Orienteering, Paddle Boat, Propeller Propulsion, Straw Egg Drop and Water Rockets. The awards ceremony is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Walnut School lawn area.
The following elementary schools are scheduled to participate: Agnes Baptist, Chatom, Chrysler, Cloverland, Dieterich, Eisenhut, Empire, Fair Oaks, Hart-Ransom, Hart-Ransom Charter, Hickman, Hickman Charter, Hughes, Julien, Magnolia, Our Lady of Fatima, Sacred Heart, Sierra View, Stanislaus, Walnut and Whitmore Charter.
