The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) is the suc-cessor to the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). State and Federal law require that local educational agencies administer a state test of ELP to eligible students in kindergarten (or year one of a two –year kindergarten program, sometimes referred to as “transitional kindergarten”) through grade twelve. This workshop covers the Summative Assessment only. Participants will need to attend a separate workshop to be certified for the Initial Assessment.
Those in attendance will learn to reliably and validly administer the ELPAC, score the writing and speaking items through a calibration process, and receive certifi-cation to administer the summative ELPAC Assessment at the completion of the workshop.*
*per CDE requirements, participants must remain the entire session to receive certification
Because of testing differ-ences for K-5 and 6-12, it is highly recommended that districts send two people to be certified.
$ 175.00 per individual
