GED Test Services
The Stanislaus County Office of Education-Educational Options division offers two options for adults who left high school before graduation to secure a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma. You have the choice of taking the General Educational Development (GED) test or the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) exam to test your high school equivalency skills.
Both GED & HiSET require registration online. To register for the GED test, please CLICK HERE. To register for the HiSET exam, please CLICK HERE. Age requirement is 18 years of age or older (some 17 year olds who meet specific criteria for testing may also take the test). Tests are given on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the SCOE Tom Changnon Education Center. Candidates must present a valid government issued picture ID when reporting for testing.
Please note: Students MUST arrive 15 minutes before their test time to check-in. The test center will provide handheld calculators, but candidates are welcome to bring their own. For Pearson VUE GED testing, the TI-30XS model is the only approved handheld calculator, or you can use the test built-in TI-30XS calculator. Please review Pearson VUE GED guidelines.
