The Getting Reading Right initiative is dedicated to building teacher
knowledge and how to best support all students in becoming skilled readers .
Increase literacy knowledge by collaborating and
applying theory to instruction.

Getting Reading Right is framed around helping teachers understand the
Simple View of Reading and provides actionable outcomes focused on the
strands of Scarborough's Reading Rope, so they can provide quality Tier 1 and
2 evidence-based reading instruction.

Getting Reading Right trains teachers how to:

❑ Provide explicit and systematic instruction
❑ Effectively use their currently adopted curriculum
