Cradle to Career - A national movement to improve outcomes for kids in communities across America.
Since the launch of the Stanislaus Cradle to Career Partnership in April 2018, we've built a strong foundation to support meaningful change at the student, institution and community level. This robust infrastructure includes strong cross-sector leadership, aligned funding and the development of five action teams focused on critical gateways for learners. With our partners, we have accomplished the following:
- Built a diverse accountability structure that represents multiple sectors—from education, business, faith, government, and nonprofit;
- Drafted a shared vision, mission, and values for children from birth to career;
- Organized five action teams around key indicators with progress expectations along with a developmental framework;
- Hired Megan Lowery at SCOE as the full-time Cradle to Career Director to oversee communications, data development, and logistical needs;
Officially joined the StriveTogether Network, connecting our county to cradle to career resources from communities across the county. Read the Civic Infrastructure Report here.
The Stanislaus Cradle to Career Partnership is in its infancy. Excitement is brewing because change is coming. If we can bring into better alignment all the goodwill, best intentions, and continued hard work of the dedicated people invested in lifting up the lives of those who live here, then something wonderful is soon to happen in Stanislaus County.
