The District Business Support Department has 26 employees within two departments; Finance and Compliance Technical Support (FaCTS), and Payroll and Retirement Compliance (PaRC) which provide a large variety of advisory and technical support services to the districts in the county.  Services include accounting/budgeting assistance, fiscal solvency oversight, ADA/enrollment projections and monitoring, property tax & LCFF assistance, apportionments, Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS), monthly payroll processing, bi-weekly commercial vendor payment processing, and audits/compliance matters.  Also, this department provides direct support services for six Direct Service districts – this involves assisting them in their various business office activities including data entry for payroll and vendor payments, budget development, budget monitoring, and preparation of the required state SACS reports.
