Leadership Academy is the first program in Stanislaus County to bring youth, private organizations and the general public together to explore leadership and local career opportunities in innovative ways. Hundreds of high school juniors and seniors have completed Leadership Academy since its inception and have demonstrated a potential for leadership and a desire to invest in our local community. Upon completion, Leadership Academy graduates receive a scholarship that can be applied to such education expenses as college application and SAT fees, books, materials and more. Leadership Academy is supported entirely by donations and in-kind services from such community leaders as Storer Transportation, Acme Construction, E&J Gallo Winery, Mocse Credit Union, Valley Lexus, Mary Stuart Rogers Foundation, Mid-Valley Promotions, North Modesto Kiwanis Club, Savemart C. A. R. E. S. and many more!

Leadership Academy Alumni: Where Are They Now?
- Name: Jessica Due
- Leadership Academy Class: 2003-2004
- Colleges Attended: University of the Pacific, Majored in Theatre Arts
- Where I am now: In 2017, thirteen years after I graduated high school and the Leadership Academy, I began employment at the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE). It meant a lot for me to gain employment at SCOE. I remember the adventures I had with fellow students in the Leadership Academy, but I also remember the employees of SCOE that we worked with and how I thought it seemed like a really great place to work. For most people, life doesn’t turn out the way they thought it would and you start to question your goals and where you’re supposed to be/what you’re supposed to be doing. My journey has certainly been long and winding, but I finally feel “at home” at SCOE. It’s really great to know my first instincts were correct about a great place to work. In addition to working for a wonderful organization, I love to spend time with family and friends and I love to travel. I have traveled to fourteen different countries and I plan to keep traveling and exploring the world as long as possible.
