INTERNAL PAYROLL

Payroll staff administers SCOE’s payroll activities, including but not limited to the following:

  • Processing the payment of employee monthly salaries
  • Maintaining employee payroll records
  • Monthly supplemental payroll
  • 403b and 457b TSA plans
  • Eligible employees participate in a defined benefit plan through PERS or STRS

BENEFITS

The Stanislaus County Office of Education offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees and their eligible dependents. Plan designs and cost to the eligible employee vary based on employment classification. Any required employee contribution is made through automatic payroll deduction.

Eligible employees may also choose to participate in a Dependent Day Care or a Flexible Spending Account through our Section 125 plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

What benefits does SCOE offer?

Benefits may include medical, dental, orthodontics, life insurance, vision, tax sheltered annuity,income protection and PERS or STRS contributions, depending on the classification of the position. (Benefits vary by bargaining unit.) Specific information regarding plans and fees will be provided once an offer of employment is made.

What retirement system is in effect for SCOE?

State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS) is available to Certificated staff. Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is available to Classified staff.

I received a juror summons and have to report. What do I do now?
  • Notify the courthouse that you work for SCOE and should not receive payment for jury service.  If you have already received payment, please click here for instruction.
  • Once you are dismissed from Jury Duty, make sure to obtain the Certificate of Jury Service for verification and submit to Leave Accounting.
  • Contact Leave Accounting (238-1600) to see if you should return to work once being dismissed.
