Returning Candidate Enrollment

Candidates Returning from Last Year

Welcome back for your second year!  There are a few things that you will need to take care of to begin Induction year 2.

Progressing to Year 2 of Induction requires completing and passing Year 1.  If you have not completed Year 1 in its entirety, you will be unable to participate in Induction this year.  Contact tstewart [ahtsym] stancoe [dhotsym] org with any questions.

If you are on track to proceed with year 2, please follow the steps below:

  1. Review your information in InductionSupport.com.  If you need to make changes, stop and complete this form:
  2. You will want to make sure that your preliminary credential is still valid.  You must have a valid credential to take part in the SCOE Induction program
    • Should you need to file an extension, you will want to contact our credentials department for assistance before going any further
      • To schedule an appointment, please contact either Suzanne Lazar (209-238-1611 or slazar [ahtsym] stancoe [dhotsym] org) or Elaine Jones (209-238-1626 or ejones [ahtsym] stancoe [dhotsym] org)
        • Take care of this ASAP as sometimes it takes awhile for the extension to process
    • It is your responsibility as a professional to know your credential information
    • Additionally, if you have added requirements (usually for Level I Ed Specialist or Out of State prepared credentials), make sure that you are aware of what you need to collect and submit to the Induction office.  Make a plan to take care of these requirements over the course of the Induction year.  You will not be able to be recommended for a clear credential until these requirements are met
  3. Complete Triad Conversation form
    • Set a meeting with your evaluating Administrator and mentor to complete the Triad Conversation
    • You must complete a new Triad Conversation every year you are in Induction
    • You are advised to complete this step before attending Inquiry Day 1
  4. Download 22-23 Events Calendar
  5. Consult with your Mentor as to which Inquiry Day 1 date to attend
    • Your Mentor must accompany you to ALL 4 of your Induction events
    • You will want to register as closely as possible to when your Mentor does to ensure that you both make it into the same date
  6. Register for Inquiry Day 1
    • Inquiry Day 1 registration opens July 1
      • You can only register for yourself, not your mentor.
      • You, not your mentor, are responsible for registering yourself.
    • Registration for Inquiry Day 1 will close 3 days out from the event date (or when full, whichever comes first)
    • Should you need to cancel out of the event, you may cancel yourself up to 3 days before the event.  After that, you will need to contact the Induction office to cancel
      • It is your responsibility to inform your Mentor as to any scheduling changes
    • If you cannot remember what Inquiry Day 1 event you registered for, or if you need to check information (times, location, etc.) for an event, your registered events are always available to you on the My Calendar tab of your InductionSupport.com account.
