COVID-19 Update

General updates about classes and schedule changes will be posted at VOLTInstitute.com and our social media accounts listed below. Beginning, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 on campus activities such as hands on labs, CAP classes and PLC training will be postponed until further notice. We have canceled our next start date set for April 7, 2020, and are now planning to begin again on May 4, 2020. All current students are encouraged to proceed with module lessons by accessing the Amatrol learning system online. CAP classes will move to a remote learning environment using Zoom during campus closure. PLC Training will be postponed and rescheduled when campus is reopened.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanics

VOLT Institute (Valley Occupational Learning and Technology), in partnership with Opportunity Stanislaus and the Stanislaus County Office of Education is offering training in Industrial Maintenance Mechanics.  This training is designed to provide hands-on training on industrial systems and equipment. The curriculum guides students through: the basics of print reading; fasteners; machine tools; proper installation, repair, and maintenance of pumps; mechanical drives; and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Safe welding and torching techniques are covered as well as electrical theory and circuits as applicable to mechanical systems.

Enrollment Requirements: Must be 18+ years of age at time of enrollment, have a High School Diploma or G.E.D and complete the WorkKeys Assessment with minimum scores of 4 in Reading for Information; Locating Information; and Applied Mathematics.
