Industrial Maintenance Mechanics
VOLT Institute (Valley Occupational Learning and Technology),
VOLT’s Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program is an 48 week, self-paced training program, designed to provide hands-on training on industrial systems and equipment. The curriculum guides students through the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of Fasteners, Machine Tools, Pumps, Mechanical Drives, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Safe Welding, Torching Techniques, Electrical Theory, Mechanical Circuitry and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Enrollment is open year round to all individuals 18+ years of age.

Enrollment Requirements: Must be 18+ years of age at time of enrollment, have a High School Diploma or G.E.D and complete the WorkKeys Assessment with minimum scores of 4 in Reading for Information; Locating Information; and Applied Mathematics.

VOLT Institute’s CPT+ training program utilizes the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Work Standards for Production and are organized around 4 key activity areas;
- Safety
- Quality Practices and Measurement
- Manufacturing Processes and Production
- Maintenance Awareness
The Modular courses are delivered in a blended environment, with about half of the material provided in an instructor-led, hands on training setting, and the remainder provided through online computer-based simulation training provided by MSSC.
Typically, trainees require 9th grade math skills, 10th grade English skills, and basic computer skills to be successful in passing the course.
72 hours of in class instruction.
Monday-Wednesday, 8AM-11AM @ 3hrs per class.
9 week program.
Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. A $40 non-refundable registration fee is required for students accepted into the program.
This is great course for CBK students who want to start a career in manufacturing.
