Professional Development Resources
Here you will find some of the professional development resources and materials to support the work that you are doing. You can find a complete list of dates and times of future classes on our calendar, and you can register through OMS.
Learn some of the foundational understanding of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and its applications. We will explore the AI platforms supported by SCOE: Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and MagicSchool AI. Attendees will learn about the capabilities, potential use cases, and limitations of these platforms.
Find out more about Canva and how you can use it to design flyers, social media posts, and a whole host of other things. Learn how you can access your PAID SCOE account that will give you access to a host of more features and tools. This is a powerful and flexible tool that is fun to learn and easy to use. With some practice and patience you will be able to master Canva in no time.
Come and learn the fundamentals of using Finalsite to edit and manage your school or division's website. This 2-hour class will provide an overview of the Finalsite content management system and cover the key features you need to know to keep your site updated.
Explore Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Meet, and Keep. Whether a Google newbie or a seasoned user, you'll learn tips and tricks to boost productivity and enhance teaching. Join us to unlock the full power of Google Workspace!
Learn about the Informed K12 form builder platform. You will review how to construct basic forms as well as best practices for document set up. We will also work through issues of workflow and form ownership.
Note: Please check with your supervisor before signing up for this course in order to request a user account for Informed K12 before coming to this course.

Bring your laptop computer and learn how to use SCOE's WebEx SoftPhone software that provides you with the opportunity to make and receive phone calls with your SCOE phone number, from your computer.
Note: Registration for this training must be done at least one week prior to the class to provide time for your SoftPhone setup.
Learn about SCOE’s video hosting platform Yuja. This is for those that are responsible for uploading videos for presentations and for the website. We will also be covering how to Close Caption a video to make it ADA compliant.
NOTE: You must first have an account to access Yuja. For more information about gaining access to Yuja please put in a TLR Help Desk Ticket and Request one before coming to the class.
