Dashboard User Support

At the top right of each card you will find an icon with card options. To download a copy of the data that you're reviewing, you will want to click on the "Export" option. From here you will be given the option to download several file types.

For most areas, the data is updated on a nightly basis, helping to ensure that you will always have the most up-to-date information to work with.

For the Assessment data, this information is sent to Stanislaus County Office of Education by each district via an Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connection once students have completed new assessments. Therefore, the sooner the information is transmitted, the sooner the dashboards can reflect the new data.

There are countless ways that this data can be utilized, some of the most common are:

          •The information displayed on the dashboard is meant to help administrators and educators make their decisions while ensuring that they have the most accurate and up to date information as possible.

          •Cards can be downloaded either in spreadsheet, pdf, or image files so that you can review the data offline or add images and information to presentations of your own.

Definitely! There are a number of ways to customize your view, below are a few of the options: 

• Applying Filters: You can apply a variety of filters to the dashboards to help narrow what information you are looking for by doing the following
  • At the top of each dashboard is a "Filter Data" button, click this button to start.
  • A dropdown will appear with a number of filtering options, here you can click on one or several different options to filter by.
    • Note: When you apply filters they will stay applied when changing between areas (Enrollment, Academics, Assessments, etc) so you will need to clear the filters by hitting the X next to them, or selecting "Clear all filters" at the top when you're finished.

• Setting Custom Student Groups: You can set up custom student groups for any students you may want to pay closer attention to. These groups can then be applied as a filter  to then be used as a filter when reviewing any cards on the dashboard. In order to create a custom student group all you would need to do is to follow the below steps:
  • Drill down into a card where you know the students would be included (Drilling down into a card can be done simply by clicking in part of a graph). This should show you a list of the students that fall into the category you clicked on.
  • Next you would click on the box at the far left of each of the student's respective rows. Feel free to select as many as you'd like.
  • At the top of the table you'll see an "Actions" option, click this button.
  • Select "Add To Group."
  • A new screen will pop up asking you to select a group to add the student(s) to, OR to create a new group.
  • You're all set! In order to apply this student group filter you can simply click the "Filter Data" option at the top and find your list of students under the "Student Group" option.
