Creating Music and Podcasts with Soundtrap for Education

With a tablet, Chromebook, or Computer with Soundtrap for Education, students can create music soundtracks and podcasts to share with their peers, families, and even a worldwide audience. Bring your device and learn how easy it is to create audio magic. By the end of the workshop, you will have a podcast episode with theme music, to share with your students on Monday.         • Create engaging audio recordings of stories or poems that demonstrate fluid reading at an understandable pace; add visual displays when appropriate to emphasize or enhance certain facts or details.

Create a Podcast

  1. Create your podcast theme music
    • Tutorial: Use music loops in Soundtrap
      1. Use loops to create a 30 second theme song for your podcast with:
        1. Drums
          • Adjust length of loop track
        2. Bass
          • Track fade out
        3. Piano
          • Adjust length of loop
  2. Record your podcast opening
    • Tutorial: Record a podcast in Soundtrap
      1. Record a 10-15 second introduction to your podcast with:
        1. Your voice
          • Solo track
          • Create transcript
          • Edit transcript
          • Edit voice recording
        2. Background sound effect
          • Adjust track volume
  3. Record a podcast interview
    1. Add a second voice recording track
    2. Adjust track volume
  4. Publish and share your ETC podcast
