This professional development will focus on uncovering what is new and improved with the 2022 edition of Benchmark Advance ELA/ELD curriculum for K-6 teachers. Teachers will learn how to navigate through the resources to implement effective literacy instruction based on the Science of Reading and Scarborough's Reading Rope. Participants will gain knowledge to inform effective lesson planning for whole and small group instruction focusing on language comprehension as well as word recognition.
