As schools face an increase in complex student behaviors, educators are seeking approaches that move beyond punishment and foster meaningful, lasting change. This two-part professional learning series* offers a restorative perspective on discipline— one that centers on relationships, accountability, and belonging. Participants will explore how restorative practices can strengthen connections, improve school climate, and support positive behavior through intentional, inclusive approaches. The series is a Trainer of Trainers model which will equip participants with practical strategies for designing and facilitating community circles that can be integrated into classroom instruction and schoolwide practices.
Participants Will:
- Apply the Restorative Practices Continuum
- Examine how restorative approaches can influence your professional role & personal interactions
- Understand the philosophy, principles, & foundational practices that support relationship-building & community well-being.
*This is a two-day series. Attendance at Day 1 is required to participate in Day 2. Participants must attend both sessions to receive training materials.
