SCOE Induction's Level II Transition program was designed to address the competencies needed to clear a Level I Education Specialist Credential. (If your credential is General Education, or PRELIMINARY Education Specialist, you will not need this program).
Target Audience: Candidates who are clearing a Level I Education Specialist credential* and their mentors. [Not sure? How to check your credential (PDF)]
Open to: Any Level I Education Specialist candidates (both in the SCOE Induction Program and now, Out of Consortium candidates as well).
Candidate Cost: $1000
What to Expect: Candidates will attend, with their mentor (mandatory), an afternoon event in the Fall where they will have the competency work laid out for them. They will then attend another event in the Spring where they will complete and submit their work. [18-19 Level II Events Schedule (PDF) (coming soon)]
Units: Successful completion of the Level II transition program creates eligibility for one unit of Extended Education from CSUS for $40.00. [Unit only available in the year of program completion (ie: 18-19). Level II Program completion and unit application must occur before the unit deadline for the year (1st Friday in June)]

*Note: Level II Transition program must be used in conjunction with successful completion of an authorized Induction program to clear a Level I Education Specialist credential. The Level II program, in and of itself, cannot clear this credential.
