Summative Assessment ELPAC Administration Training

Location: Stanislaus County Office of Education
Date: January 23, 2020
Time: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Hosted by: ISS Administration

The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) is the successor to the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). State and federal law require that local educational agencies administer a state test of ELP to eligible students in kindergarten (or year one of a two-year kindergarten program, sometimes referred to as “transitional kindergarten”) through grade twelve.  This workshop covers the Summative Assessment only.  Participants will need to attend a separate workshop to be certified for the Initial Assessment.

Those in attendance will learn to reliably and validly administer the ELPAC, score the writing and speaking items through a calibration process, and receive certification to administer the Summative ELPAC Assessment at the completion of the workshop. *

* per CDE requirements, participants must remain the entire session to receive certification

IMPORTANT!: Because of testing differences for the K-5 and the 6-12, it is highly recommended that districts send two people to be certified.  If only one person attends, they will need to return for an additional afternoon session.
