Positive Discipline

Date: December 16, 2021
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Positive Discipline is an interactive discipline model designed to focus on the positive points of behavior.  It is based on the idea that there are no bad chidlren, just undesirable behaviors.  Practitioners of positive discipline believe that good behavior can be taught and reinforced without hurting children verbally or physically.  As we become increasingly aware of children that have experienced trauma, it is vital these children receive positive reinforcements instead of the negative, more punitive techniques used in recent past.
