2020 NorCal Science Olympiad Rule Changes for the State Tournament and ALL Regional Tournaments

Events with Device Test and Written Test:  If a team does not bring a device to test that resembles the device as detailed in the National event rules, then the team will be placed in tier 2. 
All Events Allowing Notes: If a team chooses to use two sheets of paper for notes in place of one sheet of paper, then the two sheets MUST be laminated so they cannot be pulled apart.

PBIS Implementation Training Overview

Are you ready to implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at your school?  The Stanislaus County Office of Education is offering a three-year training and implementation program that will help your school implement and sustain PBIS.  Each year will include four days of training to prepare and equip site leadership teams to implement schoolwide PBIS using the blueprint published by the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

Join us as noted speaker and foster youth advocate, Steve Ashman, Executive Director for the Stanislaus County, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) shares his knowledge and expertise for the advocacy of children.  Steve is a credentialed teacher and a recognized expert in the field of Special Education Law, and can help you navigate through the IEP process.  He is a passionate advocate for all children, especially those marginalized by their circumstances.  

Prerequisites for attending this class:

  • Intro to QCC & Print Manager
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of MS Excel

In this class, we will cover:

- Creating Download Preset in the QCC Print Manager
- Downloading data to Excel (single and stacked reports)
- Sorting, subtotalling and filtering data
- Creating, formatting and updating PivotTables

The Bill and Bertha Scheuber Vocational Scholarship, in the amount of $1000, is open to graduating senior from a

Stanislaus County high school planning to attend a four year institution, community college, or vocational/technical school.

The applicant must be planning a career in one of the major vocational areas of agriculture, business, health,

home economics, industrial technology, or a related area.
